3. Pool Closing Due to inclement weather,
mechanical difficulties and/or low attendance, will be at the discretion of
the pool management and/or board members.
|
4. The pool will be closed to members for
swimming at 4:00 P.M. on home swim meet days. There are usually about three
(3). Please see gatekeeper for these dates or refer to swim team information
board.

5. Dates
for pool board meetings will be posted at the pool.
|
B. Admittance of Members
|
1. Northampton Pool Association, INC. is a
private membership pool. Dues must be paid prior to admittance.
|
|
2. Summer Members: Memberships should be paid by June 12th. Membership must be reapplied for each year.
|
3. All
members and guests must check in with gatekeeper upon arrival at the pool.
|
4. Fee Schedules can be obtained at the gate, by calling
the pool (826-9808) and are posted on the website (www.northamptonpool.com).

C. Admittance of Guests:
|
1. Guests must be accompanied by a member.
|
2. Guest must pay and
register with gatekeeper.
|
3. Guest fees
|
$5.00 per day
Children under the age of
five (5) are admitted free.
|
4. Guests are subject to the same rules as members.
|
5. Guests may be refused admittance by the management for just
cause.
|
6. Upon payment of $45.00
Special Guest Fee, one or more out of town house guest(s), when accompanied by
the member, will be admitted for fifteen (15) consecutive days from the day
the guest is first admitted to the pool. Under no circumstances will this fee
be refunded or prorated.
|
7. Spectator Guest:
|
a. Must be at least 25
years of age.
b. Must attend as a
spectator only.
c. Must be accompanied by
the member.
d. Name must be
registered at gate by member.
e. No fee required.
f. Are subject to the
same rules as members.
g. May be refused
admittance by the management for just cause.
h. Spectators who decide
to swim must re-register and pay regular guest fee.

D. Admittance at swim
meets
|
1. Members, member’s guest and participating teams and their
guests will be admitted
|
2. Fee and signing in are not required during swim meets.
|
3. After 4:00 P.M. on
home swim meet dates, the pool is closed to everyone except the home swim
team and their visiting opponent.
|
4. Pool rule and rules adopted by the GPSA for swim meets will
apply
|
5. As the pool officially
closes to the general membership at 4:00 P.M. on home swim meet days, it will
not reopen for membership until the following day.
|
6. Swimming privileges following the home swim meet are limited
to the swim team and their families.
|
7. The management can refuse spectator admittance for just cause
during home swim meets.
|
8. Due to GPSA rules:
NO SMOKING IS PERMITTED INSIDE THE POOL AREA
DURING SWIM MEETS
|
E. Swim Team
|
All members, 18 and under are eligible for
swim team membership.
Swim Team information is posted on the swim
team board and available at the gate.
|
F. General Operation of
Pool Area
|
1. The pool managers and lifeguards on duty
have full authority to enforce all rules for the pool. Criticism and
recommendations concerning their actions shall be registered with a Board
member or Gatekeeper.
|
2. Children under 10 years of
age will not be admitted unless accompanied by an adult or responsible person
age 15 and older. After 6:00 PM, an adult must accompany any child
under 10 years of age. After 6:00 PM, children under 11 years of age
will not be admitted unless accompanied by an adult.

3. Pets
are not permitted inside the pool area at any time.
|
4. The management will refuse anyone
admittance or require them to leave for just cause including INTOXICATION
and/or ABUSIVE LANGUAGE.
|
5.
Persons with OPEN SORE or DISCHARGE from
nose or ears cannot enter pool.
|
6. Any
damage to property caused by members or their guests will be charged to
member involved.
|
7. All
trash and litter must be placed in receptacles provided.
|
|
8. All unauthorized persons shall stay clear
of lifeguard stand and avoid diverting attention of the lifeguards from their
work.
|
9. Your association can assume no
responsibility for the loss or theft of personal articles within the pool
enclosure or parking lot grounds.
|
10. PERSONAL FLOTATION: WATER WINGS are allowed under the managers discretion. If the manager feels that the child needs more than just the water wings to swim then they would advice an adult to be in the water with them. Coast guard approved safety life
vests are permitted in the baby and main pool. Floats are allowed in the pool under the managers discretion. If the manager feels that the pool is to crowed he/she may ask for the floats to be taken out of the pool.

11. The addition or deletion of rules may be
necessary from time to time for your safety and convenience. Please feel free
to give us the benefit of your suggestions as to merit or necessity of any rule.
|
12. NO
glass containers are permitted inside the pool area.
|
13. Any member or member’s guest found guilty
of theft of personal property of a member or the Association will be banned
from the pool.
|
14. Lost and Found items will be kept in the office
area for a short time. If items are lost, please claim them as soon as
possible.
